01 Shadow Box Fence
Alternating boards on either side of the rails. Privacy with airflow, and the same look from your yard and the neighbor is yard.
A shadow box fence alternates the picket boards on either side of the rail. From any angle, you see solid pickets with a small overlap, which gives privacy without the totally solid panel look. It is often called a "good neighbor" fence because the appearance is identical from both yards. Wulff Fence builds shadow box fences across Altamonte Springs and St. Cloud.
We typically build shadow box in pressure treated wood at 6 feet tall. The alternating board pattern also adapts to lattice top combinations for a layered look. For a fully solid look without the alternating board, consider privacy fence in solid panels.
Every shadow box post goes 3 feet deep in concrete. Wood withstands gusts up to 100 mph when set this way. The alternating board pattern actually helps with wind, because air passes through instead of catching the fence like a sail.
We pull the building permit, file the Notice of Commencement, and call for utility marking before we dig. If a marked line is damaged, the utility company repairs it at no cost. Beyond installation, we handle fence repair and a full fence installation service across Greater Orlando. We also build dog runs and weld ornamental wrought iron. Read more about Wulff Fence.
