Orlando's trusted fence builders since 2012

Your fence handles more than property lines. It protects your pool, gives you privacy from neighbors, and takes the first hit when hurricane season arrives. Since 2012, Wulff Fence has been the local contractor Orlando homeowners trust to build fences that hold up.

We are a licensed Florida fence contractor that builds every fence on site, piece by piece. Unlike big box stores or franchises that install prebuilt panels, we construct your fence to follow the specific grade of your land. This eliminates gaps at the bottom and creates a stronger structure that handles wind. Whether you are in Orange, Seminole, or Osceola County, we handle the hard work so you can enjoy your yard.

Every neighborhood and municipality is different. We typically find the code for that area and install the fence to their specifications. The HOA, though, is its own entity, and we find it easier for the customer to deal with them directly, because every HOA is different and usually the homeowners know who to contact.

02 Materials we install

Five materials, one on site build.

Every post, whether wood, PVC vinyl, aluminum, or chain link, is set 3 feet deep in concrete. Same standard across every material we hang on a Central Florida lot.

01 / Wood

Wood fencing

The classic choice for privacy. We use pressure treated pine and cedar that resist rot and termites common in Florida's humid climate. Wood withstands gusts up to 100 mph.

02 / PVC Vinyl

Vinyl and PVC fencing

A low maintenance favorite for Orlando homeowners. Vinyl will not warp in the sun, comes in multiple colors, and provides full privacy without painting. Rated for 90 mph winds with a lifetime manufacturer warranty.

03 / Aluminum

Aluminum fencing

The look of wrought iron without the rust. Powder coated aluminum works for pool enclosures and waterfront properties, because it does not obstruct the view. Lifetime manufacturer warranty.

04 / Chain Link

Chain link fencing

A durable, budget friendly option for securing property or keeping pets safe. Galvanized or vinyl coated. Chain link is the strongest material in severe storms.

Custom built fences vs. prebuilt panels

You have probably seen fence panels for sale at hardware stores. We do not use them. Here is why: Florida yards are rarely flat.

When you install prebuilt panels on uneven ground, you end up with racking (where the fence looks crooked) or large gaps at the bottom where pets escape. At Wulff Fence, we stick build everything on site. Every post is set individually in concrete, and every rail and picket is attached one by one. This approach lets the fence flow with the contours of your land and gives a significantly stronger wind rating, which matters when storms roll through from June to November.

We install any type of fence: PVC, wood, aluminum, and chain link. The PVC fences are rated for 90 mph winds and are concreted 3 feet in the ground. Wood can withstand 100 mph gusts and the posts are concreted as well. Chain link is the best material for strong storms. Honestly, if a Category 2 hurricane rolls through, you will be lucky if your house does not get damaged.

03 Our installation process

From first call to final post.

Five steps. We pull the permit, mark the utilities, and stick build on site. You handle the HOA submission, because every HOA contact is different.

  1. Free estimate

We visit your property to measure and discuss your needs. No pressure, just honest advice and a written quote.

  2. Material selection

We help you choose the right material for your budget, your yard, and your HOA guidelines.

  3. Permits and the Notice of Commencement

We pull the building permit and file the Notice of Commencement on every install. HOA approval stays with the homeowner.

  4. Utilities marked before we dig

We get utilities marked on every job. If a marked utility is damaged during install, the utility company repairs it at no cost. We also use as much caution as we can to protect your landscaping.

  5. On site build and final walkthrough

Our crews dig the footings, set every post 3 feet deep in concrete, and build the fence to the contours of your land. We do not leave until you are satisfied with the result.

Common fence projects in Orlando

Privacy fencing

Create a secluded backyard. Our privacy fence options in wood or vinyl block sightlines so you can enjoy your pool or patio in peace.

Pool fencing

Florida pool fence rules vary by municipality, but the constants are these: all gates must swing outward, must have self closing hinges, and the latch must sit above 54 inches from the ground. We install code compliant pool fence systems to your city or county spec so the install passes inspection.

Ornamental and security fencing

For homes that need a high end finish out front, a custom wrought iron fence delivers curb appeal without sacrificing security. We also fabricate matching driveway gates so the front of the property reads as one cohesive piece.

Property and pet fencing

Keep dogs safe and define your boundaries. Our dog runs are sized to the exact corner of the yard you can spare, using chain link or galvanized panels for security and visibility. If you have an existing fence that needs attention, we also handle fence repair for wind damage and rot. We have not found a fence we could not fix yet.

05 Frequently asked

Fence install questions, answered.

The questions Orlando homeowners ask before signing a contract. Direct answers based on what we actually do on the job site.

Do I need a permit for a fence in Orlando, FL?

Yes. Most municipalities in Orange, Seminole, and Osceola counties require a permit, especially for fences over 6 feet tall or those replacing an existing fence. Wulff Fence handles the building permit and the Notice of Commencement filing for every install.

How long does fence installation take in Orlando?

Most residential installations take 1 to 3 days, depending on yard size and weather. Every post is set 3 feet deep in concrete, regardless of material, which is what gives the finished fence its wind resistance.

What is the best fence material for Florida weather?

PVC vinyl is rated for 90 mph winds. Wood withstands gusts up to 100 mph. Chain link is the strongest material in severe storms. A properly maintained pressure treated wood fence can last 15 to 20 years in Central Florida.

Does Wulff Fence handle HOA approvals?

Every neighborhood and HOA is different. We typically find the code for the municipality and install to its specifications. The HOA is its own entity, so we leave the approval submission with the homeowner, who usually knows the right person to contact. Communities in Winter Park, Lake Nona, and other neighborhoods have strict rules. We provide the specs, drawings, and material details you need for quick approval.

How deep are fence posts set in Orlando installs?

Every post we set, whether wood, PVC vinyl, aluminum, or chain link, is set 3 feet deep in concrete. That is where wind resistance lives in Florida.
