The white picket fence is a Central Florida front yard classic, especially in historic neighborhoods around Winter Park and Apopka. Wulff Fence installs picket fences in two materials: pressure treated wood at the traditional 3 or 4 foot heights, and PVC vinyl for homeowners who do not want to repaint every other year.

Materials and heights

Wood pickets give the classic look and the lowest install cost. They need painting or staining periodically to stay sharp in Florida humidity. PVC vinyl pickets ship in white or tan and skip the maintenance entirely. For homeowners who want the picket look at the back of the yard with privacy in front, we mix styles. Common related styles include wood fence in privacy panels and rail combinations.

Posts and the standard

Every picket fence post goes 3 feet deep in concrete, just like the rest of our installs. That depth keeps the line straight through Florida storms and the soft sandy soil common across Central Florida.

What we handle

We pull the permit, file the Notice of Commencement, and call for utility marking before we dig. If a marked line is damaged, the utility company repairs it at no cost.
